The Crawlerway at Kennedy Space Center is a massive, two-mile-long paved roadway designed to transport the massive Saturn V rockets and later Space Shuttle launch vehicles from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Complex 39. It features a unique gravel base supporting two parallel concrete lanes, each 40 feet wide and 100 feet apart.
