The ROBERT GRAY was a hydrographic survey vessel operated by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. Commissioned in 1934, this ship played a vital role in charting American waters for decades. It was constructed by the Tampa Shipbuilding & Engineering Company in Tampa, Florida.
